I actually thought that I would never see that day for a decade. But now I am seeing that day in 5 days.

On Sunday the 28th, I am moving back to Toronto for good. I have gotten a new apartment right inside the downtown of Toronto and I am already excited about new chapter of my life. My apartment is actualy on 25th floor and it's right by Church Street, which is similar to: Castro Street in San Fransico, Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, and Davis Street in Vancouver. I think you understand the message between the lines. No need to say more. :)

Since I am going to live in downtown, I am going to give my car away to my brother whom is also living in Toronto. I bought a new bike that would be my mode of transportation around the downtown. The job hunt begins in few weeks after I settle in. In matter of fact, I had few good leads for job but, they aren't what I thought they were. I am really aiming to get a job where I could use my degree. I didn't go to graduate school for nothing, so I am going to stick with my field.....hopefully!

When I settle in my new apartment, I would post pictures of my apartment and the surroundings for you to get the bigger picture where I am.

On other note, Ivy's beloved brother, Mojo has joined our happy family. Thanks to Fan, he brought Mojo from Washington, DC to Ivy. Before Mojo's arrival, Ivy was being an excellent cat to me but, she does appear to be lonely time to time and it breaks my heart. I do not want Ivy to be alone for the most of the day when I am gone to work (given that I would get a job eventually). So, now Ivy has her brother living with her, I am very confident that they will keep each other company and Ivy wont be lonely. Judging on Mojo's behavior, he appears to be happy here as well. Here's the picture of him.... isn't he a darling?! He had his grooming done where they shaved his hair. His skin actually felt like a cattle's skin. Smile....only for a short time.

He is overweighted but, I have put him on a diet...he has to eat much less than he usually eat, and so far, he does appear to shed few pounds so far.

Until then!

Car repairs

My car is still sick. It has oil leaking where I suspected that it was valve cover gasket leaking. But just until today, I worked on oil pan gasket replacement and found out that it was actually NOT oil pan gasket leaking. It's a head gasket where there are two piece of engines being attached to each other. The head gasket is in the between of those two pieces of engine.

I even bought new toy; air compressor and air tools. I love them to death and it makes my job much faster and easier.....and less messy. :) So, I am going back to Canada for the weekend then come back home. I will resume again in fixing the head gasket. It will take a lots of work and my time. But, I know that I will enjoy the experience in repairing the car.

I have to close the car up and get it ready for travel...again. Then redo the gasket next week. I admit, I was very tempted in just sell the car and buy other car. But...I want to experience the major engine repairs.

Update

Hey --

A quick updates:

I am in third quarter and am in last quarter for my graduate school! I have started my own business...a business solution. I will explain about ths business in details much later. But right now, all I can share is that I have started my business.

Setting up the business is actually fun but, sure is very challenging because you need to know the business game and I am relieved that I learned all of those tricks from my graduate school. And to my surprise, two professors are willing to work with me as a consultant so, looks like my business is set.

I was supposed to launch the service last Monday but, there were some clinches that I had to clear before starting. For example, I had to get the merchant account in order to start accepting credit card and for the fund to be deposit directly into my business account. I learned that it is mandatory and I could not have just two thing; my business and my bank account. You would need a merchant account and payment gateway to make your internet business to work. Ugh...the cost were so expensive but, I managed to find the cheaper for the better service.

And also, I discovered that I am required to have SSL certificate (to carry out the secure transcation online) and the price is .....WOW..very high but Im grateful that I found the better price for the certificate via my ISP that my business is registered for.

Once the business is launched, then my blog would probably would shift from personal blogging to buisness blogging such as business tips, business lessons, or even stupid business mistake. So this way people could benefit the tips for thier own business...but of course, I'm not selling my secrets anyhow! :)

New Look

Just thought I would change the new look. I have been obsessed with General Grievous, the character from Star Wars II and III. I used to be Star Wars freak when I was young and the fad has faded away until the Revenge of the Sith came out, and it has triggered the freakness to emerge. :)

So, I thought I would let it out of my system by being obsessed for a while. Yep, I have been away from writing blogs. Things has been hectic for me on my end. I am starting my new business and I am already in final stage of implementation and meeting with investors and all of that.

But, know what? The coolest thing is that I have seen my old friend from my elementary school. I haven't seen him for almost 13 years. Last week, Ryan took me to see Will Sharpe and it was really good to see him again and we went on memory lanes about so many things that I wouldn't dare to write on the blog. You know which one, Will? Heh.

After knowing that he's around, very nearby, it made me feel better knowing that there is someone in Ontario that I can be with. Bascially Ontario is Jason's home province, my brother's and my new friends. So, it's nice to know that there's someone from my circle. Good to see you again, Will and I look forward to all times in future together.

There's Canadian election coming up on Jan 23rd to vote for new government. I am going to vote for Liberals. PC is way too much of bullshit; just like Republicans. I sure do hope that Liberals do not lose the control of the government.

See see

"If I Got A Dog"

Check this out: this is quoted from Robarts School yearbook 1993-1994. I am just doing this to embarrass the author but I thought this is so cute.

-------
I'm writing about...if I got a dog. I really love dogs, and I think they are cute. If I get a cute dog, I would take good care of him.

When I get a dog, I will name him "Bony". I will try to keep him alive by feeding him. I don't want a dog that will grow big. When Bony is older I will let him do what he wants.

I will teach Bony how to sit down, roll, be quiet, tell me when the phone rings, or the door bell rings. I will be patient with him because he is only a puppy. Bony will become a smart dog. I think it will be hard to teach him.

I will be responsible for my own dog. I will feed him everyday, wash him every month, walk him everday. As of right now we are heading for Seattle to stay overnight at hotel. We found a neat package at that hotel called Romance Package with a private in-site jacazzui along with a champagne. Nice!

The weather in Vancouver was a major disappointment. Almost everyday we had fog. I mean, a fog all over the city where it was hard to see while driving inside the city!

Before I left Vancouver for Gallaudet in 1998, I packed my stuff into about 15 boxes and left them in garage at my good friend's place. Well, last Monday, we went over to the garage to collect those boxes. I was soooo surprised that I had THAT LOTS of junk. 90 percent of those stuff ended up in trash. I am now bringing only ONE box of my stuff back. I thought to myself that I like to keep lots of stuff even though they are worthless. Oh lord!

Now I feel much better as I have completely wrapped up my old life from Vancouver and moving on to new adventure of being an Ontarian. :)

Tomorrow, we will be landing into white territory: snow. Ugh. We are not ready for that but.....winter, here I am (ugh).

More later.

Sigh...back to net world!

Hey all --

Wow...I am all done with school. I realized that my courses has taken up so much of my time. To sum my quarter: I passed all of the courses with flying colors. It has kept me on run and I am glad that I have no commitments during the quarter because if I did, I will be digging my own grave.

Right now Jason and I are in Vancouver, B.C. We got into the town two days ago and we will be staying until Friday next week. We flew out from Detriot and landed into Seattle. We rented a car and drove up to Vancouver. Funny, orginially we rented a small car but we ended up getting a family sized van but, we didn't complain because it is Toyota Sienna and it is very very NICE! It steers very well around Vancouver as there are many crazy drivers here.

I have had the opporunity to introduce Jason to my friends who I am close to. They loved him but...they already were working on pursuing him to consider Vancouver to live in. The funny part about that, they started working on him after 10 minutes right after they met for the first time.

Will take pictures and post them up.

And also...I got my pager activated and it felt so good to be back to pager world. Ugh. My pager is jeffy@mycingular.blackberry.net. I have already hooked my pager to this blog so, I will be blogging more often.........I HOPE!

Until then!

A test...got this from Tammy

Thought I would follow Tammy's blog little bit. It was a shock for both of us that she already knew since while ago. She didn't acknowledge it until she mentioned to my father when they first time met at the wedding. We went to Drive In movie with open captioned movie. I haven't been to the Drive In since I was 11. It brought me so much memories when I was kid. I loved it to death. Last night was so kewl. We watched "Herbie - full loaded", "Charles and the Choclate Factory", and "War of the World". They were good. I have some opinions for Choclate factory movie; I admit that first movie was better than new one. John Depp was good actor but I did thought that the director could have gotten someone differently. But, it was good movie. "War of the World" was good. In many movie just like this movie, you always see an actor becoming a hero and save the world, all of that concept. I did thought that Tom Cruise was like that. Until I saw the movie, I realized that this movie has a different perspective than I expected. Ray (Tom Cruise) experienced the fear, helplessness, turn to survival instinct, and attempt to live through as if he was a typical civil person. I like this perspective because if the invasion was to happen, I would be much like Ray. Reaslitc approach but I have to admit, I was little dumbprofounded with the ending but, overall it was good.

Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf credibility

I feel the need to do this. I am tired of keeping my opinions to myself when I see there is a problem. I have many ties to people who are on RAD board. I decided to do this for the sake of the community of GLBT instead of perserving my links with the people in the board.

CMRA, Capitol Metropolitian Rainbow Alliance, was the chapter afflicated to RAD that hosted the conference. There were some setbacks and success from the conference however, I felt this is the most important issue that I ought bring up.

SSP/interpreters were not paid for their service that they provided during the conference, and until today (after almost 2 months), they haven't been paid a cent. This is very wrong. CMRA is responsible for this but, as of today in my eyes, the responsibilty is now transferred to RAD because of timing and for its national status.

Let's examine RAD purpose, as quoted from their site, www.rad.org.

"The Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf (RAD) is a nonprofit organization established in 1977. The purpose of this Alliance is to establish and maintain a society of Deaf Gays and Lesbians to encourage and promote the educational, economical, and social welfare; to foster fellowship; to defend our rights; and advance our interests as Deaf Gay and Lesbian citizens concerning social justice; to build up an organization in which all worthy members may participate in the discussion of practical problems and solutions related to their social welfare. RAD has over twenty chapters in the United States and Canada."

Notice few clauses from the purpose:

1. "...and maintain a society of Deaf Gays and Lesbians to encourage and promote the educational, economical, and social welfare". It's great goal however, if they were to promote economical welfare, they should take the interpreter issues into consideration because high percent of them are part of GLBT group.

2. "to foster fellowship; to defend our rights;" If CMRA hasn't solved this issue as of today, RAD ought take action in this. Interpreters for GLBT DeafBlinds are important to our GLBT society, therefore, SSP/Interpreters are treated as equal just like they are part of us. Notice, "defend our rights"...it's unfortunate that CMRA hasn't achieved this.

3. "to build up an organization in which all worthy members may participate in the discussion of practical problems and solutions related to their social welfare." This is very strong one. There are already a problem at CMRA where interpreters/SSP are not being paid. I know that their service are expensive but, it doesn't give CMRA or even any other organization a right to just dismiss the pay for them. RAD, there is already a problem within CMRA and RAD is responsible to promote the "discussion of practical problems and solutions related to their [CMRA] social welfare."

4. "...advance our interests as Deaf Gay and Lesbian citizens concerning social justice". There is injustice going on for the SSP/interpreters, given that most of them are part of GLBT community after numerous hours that they provided under the impression that they are going to be paid for their service. As of today, there was not a cent paid. That is a big social injustice going on here.

Bottom of the line, this is not just CMRA's problem but RAD's problem as of now. I strongly urge RAD to solve this because the credibility and RAD's mission is now on stake. I, myself, would question RAD if RAD decided to empower the problem solution to CMRA only. Many people would see this too.

I challenge you, RAD executive board: what are you going to do?

Comic: Bush and Katrina Money Loss

I was reading my favorite comic strips and saw this. The program is really awesome that I am beginning to enjoy it very much. I even enjoy reading the textbook for the classes as Human Resource Development is really my thing.

I have even some idea for possible business in near futuer with my degree in HR. I finally am able to enjoy the class and readings rather than having this attitude "I have to do the reading for the class, ugh!" I really do not mind those text but, the most boring thing about this is doing the assignment.

It takes lots of critical thinking and put all of my thoughts into a piece of a paper. That is lots of work and I am not up for it but, again, I ought learn to enjoy it.

I have decided to get second MS after I am done with my MS in Human Resource Development. I am going to aim for MS in Public Policy and it only requires 48 credits to obtain the degree. So, if the money is not problem, I will go for it...THEN get hell out of school! It's time for me to get a decent job!

But seriously, I love the program I am in and already am enjoying the textbook for next week classes. :)

I am so relieved that I picked the right program that I like and good enough, it pays off already (well...wait and see what I would say by the final week. I hope I still have the same thoughts about the program). See see.

Ivy's home!

Last week, Jason and I made another trip to Washington, DC on very next day after we returned back home in Rochester from 3 weeks absence in Canada. It was so long drive but we managed to have enough energy to drive to DC and return in same day.

The total of travelling was about 14 hours but we pulled it off. We were going to Washington, DC to pick up my cat and bring her back to Rochester to live with us. It sure was good to see Ivy again!

When we got Ivy, she needed the grooming work so we took her to grooming next day. If I was to make a template from stratch then I am out.

Anyways, what do you think of this new appearance? I dont like to use blog's template as it is very limiting, even if my personality is not fitting to any of blog's template. Finally I am at home! So good to be back to Rochester and to our very own apartment, especially our own bed!

The month of August sure was crazy especially when time flew so fast like a jet. We are so amazed how fast the time has gone. So much news to share and even pictures.

To start from the beginning,

first week of August, we went to camping in Grand Bend to celebrate Jeff Martens' birthday and it was really nice. We stayed there for 2 nights. After that, Jason and I went straight to Detriot for a major painting job at Jason's great great aunt's place. We have picture to show (before and after). It was amazing that we survived the heat and humidity without AC. We even slept in sunscreen with all window opens and we depended on rotating fan and we sure couldn't live without them but it was sure a blessing that we are done by the time we left.

After that, we went straight to my brother's in Keswick, northern city above Toronto. We spend time there with my father and his girlfriend. We had great time and we decided to come to Rochester to show my dad where we live and he loved it. He even bought us a nice dining table as a gift for us both. Sweet!

Then Dad, his girlfriend Kristen, Jason and I went back to Toronto for my brother Justin's wedding. The wedding was so beautiful! But unfortunately, Jason and I forgot our digital camera at Justin's apartment...UGH! Good enough, I have gotten negatives from families so I can print my own. So I will get them printed and posted on this blog....sometime soon. :)

Then we got back home, finally to settle in for only one day. Next day, we made a full day of driving trip to Washington DC to pick up my beloved cat, Ivy then drove back to Rochester in same day. It was quite an experience but sure was a hassle. We dont want to do that again but we are grateful that we are all done with things we needed to do.

Now we are chilling around the apartment and waiting for the school to start. I can't wait! Watch out for more pictures coming up soon.

And YES, I finished the Harry Potter book...wow. I was shocked at the ending but, I have the feeling that the death was planned even though. See see. If you dont know what I am talking about, then read!

Until then!

Thanks, USA President BUSH!

Know what? There are so many people putting USA President Bush down with lots of negatives and setbacks. I really do agree with them all. I am so grateful that I am Canadian but, hey, I just realized that I do want to thank USA President a big thanks only because he has kinda of helped the Canadian dollar stronger. Today the rate is 84 cent for one US dollar. In the past, Canadian dollar was weak, the lowest I could remember was 64 cent to one US dollars. It was so terrible but, now today, it has been gaining up ever since. I dont remember where I read an article saying that it is predicted that CAD will go up to 90 for one USD. Damn, thank you US President!

I wouldn't be suprirsed that the CAD will be already over one dollars by the time Bush's presidency ends.

Way to go, Bush!

Update

Hey --

Whew....I finally have the opporunity to sit on high speed internet! I am at my brother's place updating this. We have been away from home since the first weekend of August.

First weekend of August, we went to camping in Grand Bend. After that, we went straight to Detroit to do a painting job at Jason's great aunt's place. We have lots of stories and pictures to share but we will post them when we return home from my brother's place.

After the Detroit job, we went to Toronto area to spend time with my brother as his wedding is coming up this Saturday and I am his best men for the event. I have the opporunity to introduce my family to Jason and to my relief, my family loves him to death. They even asked me when is the wedding date...ugh! We are not even there yet.

After this weekend, we will go back to Rochester and get ready for school. I am excited as I found out that I only have one class and three online courses. Simple quarter for me this fall. It was lots of historical stories involving Alexander the Great. Some of parts of movie could be myth but mostly seems to be accurate. Funny, when I watch this movie, Alexander reminds me of myself in little way. He was never satisfied in what he has accomplished. He kept going and going even though he knew that he has accomplished a great deal but, satisfactory or enough wasn't in his dictionary. I, when I was in leadership position, kept going and going and wasn't never satisfied in what I have accomplished until last April, I finally had to accept what I have accomplished and pat my own shoulder, just like when Alexander said "Let's go home".

It was very long movie but worth watching it. Farrel, I have to admit, looked like Mel Gibson in "Braveheart" when it comes to war. Indeed, this movie was very bloody comparing to "Braveheart".

Good movie.

Now, we are going to hit bed and get ready for our three weeks trip to Canada. We watched Fantastic Four and it was really good. We watched it with open captioned movie and I thought the movie was blast. I have to admit that this movie is very different than regular Marvel movie. Those four actually went into public by accident and interact with public meanwhile other Marvel characters usually stay hidden from public. Washing laundry, reading 6th serial book of Harry Potter, playing game, reading blogs and checking/replying email.

We have settled in out new home, an apartment in Rochester. We moved in on my birthday and it was indeed the best bday present for me actually. We were rushing from Canada to Rochester to get the apartment key before the office closes at 5pm. Jason made it to the office at 4:58pm and they were reluncting to give him the key because they just closed. But, thank god, the wonderful lady decided to give Jason the key. So, we got the apartment and we had our first three guests staying at our apartment: Ben and Wanda Hoshina and Tammy Murphy. Then after the week, we went back to Canada for Jason's family gathering.

I was already itching to come back to my apartment. You can't blame me for being a cancer when it comes to my own security when I wanted to be at HOME! We finally finished up all of unpacking and sorting. The storage already set up and cleaned. The apartment looks great but needs more taste in decoration. We are going to paint the walls next week.

I also managed to start my most desirable book, at last! Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Jason got the book for my birthday. I love him!! (This statement was added after the comment post...love you, Jason!)

I am already on chapter 14...but I am sooooo disappointed with Professor Snape. I can't believe how far Snape would go for. In this book, we will learn lots about Voldemort's background and his childhood. Hint hint hint. :)

Until then...

....being a stranger...

Hey --

Have been away from the internet for so long already now. I really can't wait to move in our apartment so I can be by my computer more often...and of course...run on high speed internet. I have been at a place with dial up only internet and it's already too slow that drove me crazy that I decided to alignate myself from computer. :)

Jason and I went to Rochester for the weekend last weekend and of course, stayed there for...er...*ugh* America's 4th of July (relax, folks, I am just being sacrastic). The trip was so simple. We went Rochester with only one mission; find an apartment. It does appear that we found an apartment. As of today, we are still waiting to hear from the complex to let us know if the apartment is approved to be given to us.

But, the most ironic thing about the apartment: Jason and I went to the complex to drop payment for the fee (they love to charge so much for so small paperwork) and the lady at the complex ran to us and said that Jason has to sign the form. It appears that we forgot to sign it but, I did take a quick look at the bottom of "For Office Use Only" section, and saw that the our application was approved. But, the most *f---ing* thing about this is that they told us that they can't approve the apartment until we send our leaseholder (Jason's mom) application.

Anyways, enough said...we had a HUGE steak for the July 4th celebration. We had a BBQ by the dorm at RIT and I was soooo stuffed from eating the steak only itself and got into food coma in spite of how hard I tried to control it. Ugh.

It was nice trip and now we are back to Canada and get things ready for our move (apartment confirmation still pending...grr) but no harm in getting ready now.

We are getting ready for this weekend, it will be blast weekend, I just could tell.

Until then...

Gay Marriage Legalized

Well well well...hats to Canada! It just became third country in the world to pass the bill legalizing the gay marriage. For those who dont understand Canadian political system. This bill that was passed by votes last Monday was the third stage that the bill have been brought on the table. Since this was being brought on the table third time, it usually means that the bill, that is being passed, will go back to the committee for final revision and then brought up to Governor General for the approval. There is no way for this bill to be rejected because the third stage of bill has been passed (which mean it's for sure that it will be a law that permits the gay marriage). Way to go, Cancuks!

Gay Marriage Link

Kitchen Renovation

Now I have posted my first blog on blogger, I ought post more. As I have mentioned above that we were working on Jason’s mom’s kitchen that had forced us to postpone our trip to Toronto Gay Pride by a day.

We wanted to renovate Jason’s mom’s kitchen because Jason wanted to give something back to her after the fact that Jason’s mom spent lots money on him. So, when his mom was leaving for Norway (3 weeks ago), we started the renovation and we actually thought that it would be about a week for us to finish the kitchen. But, nooooooo…it was 2 weeks.

I even learned how to do the plumber work and it was fun. I had hard time on my first attempt that I decided to give up and went back to Home Depot and asked them. To my biggest embarrassment, I was supposed to heat the pipe with torch instead of heating the smearing wire which it keep falling off from the pipe. Me DUH!

Here’s the before and after pictures. We are damn proud of our work…and……a big hole in our wallet.

Gay Pride 2005

Just got back from Gay Pride in Toronto for the weekend of June 23 to 26. We had blast time but we got ourselves worn out. To begin with the trip, we were supposed to leave for Toronto on Wednesday but we decided to postpone to next day because we weren't quite done with the renovation of Jason's mom's kitchen.

On Thursday we hit the road to Toronto and stayed at hostel. It was supposed to be 3 blocks away from Church Street but it ended being 20 blocks away -- thanks to their cheap promotion on their website. Ugh!

It was nice and so so so many people attended. Probably 1/4 of world's population were there. Many of our friends from Rochester and DC were there and we had blast time. Not to mention drinking only but, much more than just drinking...(too much information already)...

It was 25th year anniversary for Toronto to host the pride. Ontario Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf were part of the parade. Richard Guzman, Kris Pumphrey, Matt Dans and others were part of the parade. Jason and I were supposed to be in parade but we were suffering the ... umm...er...effect of the wild time during the night before that day.

The classic icon: Trojan Condom Knights....no wonder why gays love them!

Notice how many people attended in this picture...but it only shows 10% out of actual people who attended...dont look at me for source verification.

This picture -- classic picture...no explanation needed.

The last night of the partying (Sunday)...see how messy the road is...(they clean up the street every night tho...)

After the pride, Jason and I went to see my brother, Justin then after that, we headed home and by the time we arrived home. The house was burning up like a sauna, especially in our bedroom. I was being jink, I turned the AC on too fast that caused the fuse to go out. Jason had to redo the fuse...but, that was how hot it was.

Overall, it was fablous weekend!

Check this site...this is my blog site... www.xanga.com/jeffycito
